Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 1, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ferralink.com and any purchases, engineering engagements, or orders you place with FerraLink (“FerraLink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Use of This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes related to evaluating, purchasing, or learning about FerraLink products and services. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false information, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.

Content on this website — including product specifications, technical data, pricing bands, engineering package descriptions, and written materials — is provided for informational purposes and is subject to change without notice.

The Submount Advisor and other online calculators provide indicative screening results based on the inputs you supply. They are decision-support tools only and do not constitute engineering advice, a design guarantee, or a binding quote. Final material selection, geometry, and qualification require review by FerraLink engineering and, where applicable, a written statement of work or purchase order.

2. Evaluation Sample Orders

Evaluation sample boxes are offered to qualified engineering teams for product evaluation purposes. By submitting a sample order request, you agree to the following:

  • Sample orders are confirmed by FerraLink within one business day. A payment link will be sent to your provided email address upon confirmation.
  • Payment is required before shipment. Orders are not considered confirmed until payment is received.
  • Sample pricing: ALN Submount Sample Box — $250 (10 pieces); SiC Submount Sample Box — $500 (10 pieces). Prices are in USD and do not include applicable taxes or import duties.
  • Typical lead time is 2–4 weeks from payment confirmation. Lead times are estimates and may vary based on availability and shipping destination.
  • Samples are shipped with a material certificate, metallization specification sheet, and lot traceability documentation. SiC sample boxes include a thermal conductivity test report.
  • Evaluation samples are sold as-is for testing and qualification purposes. They are not for resale or incorporation into products for commercial distribution without a production agreement.

3. Engineering Services and Custom Orders

FerraLink offers scoped engineering packages (such as stack scoping, focused analysis, and DOE support) and custom submount production. These engagements are governed by a written quote, statement of work, or purchase order agreed between you and FerraLink — not solely by the summary descriptions on this website.

  • Price bands and turnaround times shown on ferralink.com are estimates. Final scope, fees, and schedule are confirmed in writing before work begins.
  • Custom geometries and metallizations typically require a minimum order quantity of 2,000 pieces unless otherwise stated in your quote.
  • RFQ and DFM submissions may include design files you upload. You represent that you have the right to share those files for quoting and manufacturability review.
  • Engineering fees for scoped analysis, DOE, or platform work are generally non-refundable once the agreed scope has started, except where required by applicable law or explicitly stated in your SOW.

4. Pre-Release Products

From time to time we offer early access or waitlist registration for products that are not yet in general production (for example, CVD diamond submount evaluation). Pre-release offerings are subject to availability, qualification timelines, and separate terms communicated when you are accepted into the program. Listing a pre-release product on this site does not guarantee shipment dates, final specifications, or catalog availability.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. FerraLink reserves the right to change pricing at any time without notice. Prices quoted in response to a specific inquiry are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.

Payment terms for evaluation samples are prepayment via the payment link provided. Production orders are subject to separate purchase order terms agreed in writing between FerraLink and the customer.

6. Shipping and Delivery

FerraLink ships to the United States and internationally. Shipping costs, duties, and taxes applicable to the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.

FerraLink is not responsible for delays caused by customs, carrier issues, or events outside our control.

7. Returns and Cancellations

Evaluation sample orders may be cancelled prior to payment confirmation at no charge. Once payment is received and production has begun, cancellation is not possible and no refund will be issued.

If you receive a shipment that is materially different from what was ordered or is damaged in transit, contact us at info@ferralink.com within 5 business days of receipt. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include replacement or credit at our discretion.

8. Product Specifications and Warranties

FerraLink provides material certificates and specification documentation with every shipment. Products are manufactured to the specifications stated in the applicable datasheet or agreed design rules.

PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” FOR EVALUATION PURPOSES. FERRALINK MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEPT AS EXPLICITLY STATED IN A WRITTEN PRODUCTION AGREEMENT.

Submount Advisor outputs, thermal screens, and package recommendation summaries are provided for internal evaluation only unless superseded by a signed engineering deliverable.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FerraLink’s liability to you for any claim arising from the use of our website or products is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim. FerraLink is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, product specifications, design guidelines, and branding — is the property of FerraLink or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Design files, drawings, and specifications you share with FerraLink for evaluation or quoting remain your property. FerraLink will not share your design files with third parties without your consent, and will use them solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

Submount Advisor methodology, default models, and site content remain FerraLink property. You may use advisor exports and PDFs internally for your program; redistribution or commercial republication requires written permission.

11. Confidentiality

If you share technical or business information with FerraLink marked as confidential, or that is clearly confidential in nature, we will treat it as such and not disclose it to third parties. For formal NDA protection, contact us at info@ferralink.com to arrange a mutual NDA before sharing sensitive information.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Massachusetts.

13. Changes to These Terms

FerraLink reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website or placement of orders after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
