These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ferralink.com and any purchases, engineering engagements, or orders you place with FerraLink (“FerraLink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). FerraLink operates this website under the FerraLink trade name; the legal entity name for signed purchase orders and mutual NDAs is available upon request at info@ferralink.com. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
These Terms follow common B2B website practice (including frameworks such as Termly’s terms templates). They are not a substitute for legal advice or a signed mutual NDA where your program requires one.

The Submount Advisor and other online calculators provide indicative screening results based on the inputs you supply. They are decision-support tools only and do not constitute engineering advice, a design guarantee, or a binding quote. Final material selection, geometry, and qualification require review by FerraLink engineering and, where applicable, a written statement of work or purchase order.
Evaluation sample boxes are offered to qualified engineering teams for product evaluation purposes. By submitting a sample order request, you agree to the following:
FerraLink offers scoped engineering packages (such as stack scoping, focused analysis, and DOE support) and custom submount production. These engagements are governed by a written quote, statement of work, or purchase order agreed between you and FerraLink — not solely by the summary descriptions on this website.
From time to time we offer early access or waitlist registration for products that are not yet in general production (for example, CVD diamond submount evaluation). Pre-release offerings are subject to availability, qualification timelines, and separate terms communicated when you are accepted into the program. Listing a pre-release product on this site does not guarantee shipment dates, final specifications, or catalog availability.
All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. FerraLink reserves the right to change pricing at any time without notice. Prices quoted in response to a specific inquiry are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
Payment terms for evaluation samples are prepayment via the payment link provided. Production orders are subject to separate purchase order terms agreed in writing between FerraLink and the customer.
FerraLink ships to the United States and internationally. Shipping costs, duties, and taxes applicable to the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.
FerraLink is not responsible for delays caused by customs, carrier issues, or events outside our control.
Evaluation sample orders may be cancelled prior to payment confirmation at no charge. Once payment is received and production has begun, cancellation is not possible and no refund will be issued.
If you receive a shipment that is materially different from what was ordered or is damaged in transit, contact us at info@ferralink.com within 5 business days of receipt. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include replacement or credit at our discretion.
FerraLink provides material certificates and specification documentation with every shipment. Products are manufactured to the specifications stated in the applicable datasheet or agreed design rules.
PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” FOR EVALUATION PURPOSES. FERRALINK MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEPT AS EXPLICITLY STATED IN A WRITTEN PRODUCTION AGREEMENT.
Submount Advisor outputs, thermal screens, and package recommendation summaries are provided for internal evaluation only unless superseded by a signed engineering deliverable.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FerraLink’s liability to you for any claim arising from the use of our website or products is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim. FerraLink is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.
All content on this website — including text, product specifications, design guidelines, and branding — is the property of FerraLink or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
Design files, drawings, and specifications you share with FerraLink for evaluation or quoting remain your property. FerraLink will not share your design files with third parties without your consent, and will use them solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
Submount Advisor methodology, default models, and site content remain FerraLink property. You may use advisor exports and PDFs internally for your program; redistribution or commercial republication requires written permission.
FerraLink works with engineering teams on custom submounts, hermetic packages, and production programs that often involve sensitive die layouts, stack designs, and commercial plans. We understand that procurement and legal review of our terms is normal — and that many customers require a mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before deeper technical exchange.
Email info@ferralink.com with the subject line Mutual NDA request and include your company name, contact name, and the program or product area (for example, 14-pin butterfly RFQ, custom SiC submount). We will respond within two business days with our standard mutual NDA or a link to execute one. If your company requires its own NDA template, attach it or describe your process — we routinely review customer paper.
If you submit an RFQ, DFM review, or package quote before a mutual NDA is signed, the following applies to information you provide through ferralink.com or email:
This website-level commitment does not replace a signed mutual NDA. Where a signed NDA exists, the NDA controls. Where no NDA is signed, we still treat clearly sensitive technical submissions as confidential for the purpose of your inquiry.
When emailing files outside our forms, mark the subject or cover note “Confidential — [Company name]” or use your company’s standard confidential marking. In RFQ notes, you may state that the submission is confidential.
Standard NDA practice (including mutual NDAs used in manufacturing and photonics) excludes information that is publicly available, already known to the receiving party without restriction, independently developed without use of your confidential information, or rightfully received from a third party. Those exclusions apply to signed NDAs we execute with you; they do not reduce our interim handling obligations for RFQ data described above.
FerraLink products may be subject to U.S. and other export control laws. Customer is responsible for determining applicable export, re-export, and import requirements for its jurisdiction and end use. Contact us before placing orders if your program involves restricted destinations, military end use, or other controlled applications — we will work with you on classification and documentation where applicable.
We prefer to resolve concerns informally. If you have a dispute related to these Terms or the site, email info@ferralink.com first and allow a reasonable period to respond before pursuing formal remedies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Massachusetts.
FerraLink reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website or placement of orders after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
